Arachne's Web is now carrying two different types of essential oils. Class A is organic (if available), steam expressed and suitable for aromatherapeutic and medicinal purposes. Class B is suitable for crafting, incense making, and use in witchcraft.

Background:
Clove bud is widely used as a topical anesthetic. It also has a wide variety of magical applications in kitchen witchcraft and ritual magic.
 
Uses:
Clove bud is a lovely, deep base note to add to incense to perfumes, or to other crafts, to make a scent long lasting and earthy. This oil is wonderful for use in incense, as a base note in bath and body care, soap making and in withcraft as a substitution for the plant material.

Medicinal Properties:
This is grade B essential oil, and is not recommended for medicinal uses. In general, clove is used as a topical analgesic. When diluted with a carrier oil, it makes a good topical for bruses, swelling, arthritis and muscle aches. We will have an organic version available soon for that purpose.
 
Contraindications:
Grade B essential oils are not recommended for medicinal use, so have no contraindications. Not for internal use.
