Arachne's Web uses United States Postal Service shipping. We are located in a very small, rural town, with no offices for other carriers. And - we love the postal service and want to support them!

   We make every attempt to find less expensive solutions for shipping, and - if you are ever charged too much for shipping, we will always refund you any overage. Sometimes web sites over-estimate, but we always refund over charges.

    Arachne's Web does not offer free shipping.  The only exception is our subscription boxes, which include the shipping in the price of the boxes.

  The reason is to save you money!  In order to offer free shipping, sites like Etsy advise their vendors to pad up the prices and add the estimated price to ship the item as far away as possible to the price. So, for example, the advice would be for us (located in New Hampshire) to calculate shipping to Hawaii, and add that price to each item we sell!  As you can imagine, that adds up to a lot of shipping fees built into the prices.

   In an effort to keep our prices low and fair, we charge normal retail for our items, and then charge a fair price to ship.  We've decided this is a way to be fair to you, and still offer you  the great prices you deserve!
